Spectacular Villa with View, also called Villa il Sole, is a 600-square-metre villa in open countryside near Certaldo, with only a couple of distant houses in sight.

Nine double bedrooms and eight bathrooms host up to 18 guests, which makes it a fine villa for groups in Tuscany and a setting that also lends itself to weddings and receptions.

Renovated in 2003, the house kept its original structure while gaining modern comforts.

Its three floors are bright and generously sized, furnished with period pieces in an aristocratic tradition, alongside a modern, well-equipped kitchen, a lounge with stereo, DVD player and satellite TV, and a bathroom with hydromassage. The heart of the house is the dining room, with a single table seating 18.

On the ground floor is a double bedroom with its own bathroom. A wide hall on the first floor leads to seven bedrooms: two with double beds and five with twin beds that can be pushed together, with shower rooms and one Jacuzzi.

At the top, the tower holds a double with bathtub and two little terraces, one opening off the bedroom, with views across the Chianti hills. Beds have orthopaedic mattresses and cotton sateen sheets.

An old iron gate opens onto extensive private parkland and a large car park. 30 metres deep, is heated to 29 degrees and runs along a terrace edge overlooking a broad stretch of Chianti.

Around it the garden has armchairs, loungers and gazebos, and there is a further gazebo and a barbecue among ancient trees and olive groves.

Certaldo, with the nearest shops, is about 5 km away, Castelfiorentino 8 km, Montespertoli 9 km, Poggibonsi 11 km and San Gimignano 20 km. Florence is 43 km, Siena about 52 km, Florence airport 40 km and Pisa airport 70 km.
