Villa Avocado occupies an elevated position near Buseto Palizzolo, in the countryside of western Sicily, inland from Trapani.

With four bedrooms, four bathrooms and space for up to 8 guests, it is well suited to families or couples travelling together who want a villa with a pool in Sicily and easy access to some of the island's best-known sights.

Built in keeping with local architecture, the house blends naturally into its surroundings. Inside, exposed stone walls and beamed ceilings give the rooms a traditional warmth, balanced by modern comforts.

The living room with fireplace, the dining room and the kitchen form a sociable heart to the house, while the sleeping area has four romantic bedrooms and four bathrooms.

Air conditioning, central heating, Wi-Fi, a washing machine and dishwasher are provided, with satellite TV in the living room and bedrooms, a sound system and a high chair for young children.

From the swimming pool, the garden and the large furnished terraces, the view stretches across the open countryside. Sun loungers, an outdoor dining area and a barbecue make it easy to spend whole days outside.

The location is a big part of the appeal. Within a short drive you can reach the island of Mozia, the temples of Segesta and Selinunte, the hilltop town of Erice, Marsala and the salt pans of Trapani, as well as Scopello, San Vito Lo Capo and the Zingaro nature reserve.
