Villa Benefizio

Villa Benefizio is a restored country estate near Montepulciano, between the Valdichiana and the Val d'Orcia in southern Tuscany.

With six bedrooms, six bathrooms and space for up to 12 guests, it is a superb villa for families in Tuscany, or for groups who want a wellness-focused stay surrounded by farmland, with pets welcome.

The restoration brought to light the walls of an old guard tower dating from the sixteenth century, which now sit alongside newer, modern spaces.

Inside you will find air conditioning, central heating, a lift, step-free access, Wi-Fi, a smart TV with streaming services, a sound system and a fully equipped kitchen, with breakfast and daily housekeeping included. The wellness centre includes a sauna, a hot tub and an indoor pool.

Outdoors, the panoramic swimming pool is 24 metres long, with a depth of 1 to 2 metres, and looks out over one of the finest views in the area. 5 km trail for walking or running.

Guests can also stroll through the large surrounding park of Villa Trecci, with around 400 plant varieties, a small lake, an organic farm, olive groves and vines.

The villa can arrange cookery lessons with a private chef focused on Tuscan dishes, visits to Montepulciano's wine cellars and local cheesemakers, olive picking during the harvest, hot-air balloon flights, horse riding and truffle hunts with trained dogs or pigs.

The surrounding countryside of rolling hills and woods is dotted with historic towns, craft shops and food stores, and Florence, Siena, San Quirico d'Orcia and Montalcino are within easy reach.
