Villa Ibisco

Villa Ibisco is a recently built beach villa near Marzamemi, on the southern tip of Sicily, only metres from sandy shoreline and from the edge of a nature reserve threaded with walking trails.

With seven bedrooms, seven bathrooms and space for up to 14 guests, it is made for big families and groups of friends travelling together.

What sets the house apart is its arrangement as three self-contained apartments, one per floor, so a large party can share holidays without sharing every moment. Each level has its own kitchen or kitchen corner, and the rooms are airy and full of light.

Downstairs there is a fireplace and a separate dining room; the middle floor opens onto a big terrace with wide views; and the top floor holds the master bedroom, with its own bathroom and a terrace looking out to sea. Several of the other bedrooms also have private terraces or en-suite bathrooms.

Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a sound system, TV and a dishwasher are all provided, along with parking on site.

The outdoor space is just as generous: a carefully kept garden, complete with gazebo and barbecue, a swimming pool, and a sun deck with loungers for slow afternoons in the open air. Few places offer a villa for 14 guests in Sicily this close to the beach.

Beyond the local beaches, the area rewards exploring. The Roman villa of Tellaro is nearby, and the baroque centres of Ragusa-Ibla, Modica, Noto and Syracuse are all within reach for day trips.
