Villa Moriano

Villa Moriano is a historic residence in the hills just outside Lucca, at San Concordio di Moriano, surrounded by olive groves and vineyards that have been tended here for centuries.

It sleeps up to 14 guests in six bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, which makes it a strong choice for large families or friends looking for a villa near Lucca in Tuscany.

This part of the Lucca hills was once where noble families spent their summers away from the city heat, and the villa keeps that sense of grandeur. A recent renovation preserved its original architectural features while adding modern comfort. The house spans three floors of about 200 square metres each.

The ground floor has a grand entrance hall, a large living room with TV and bar area, a formal dining room, a semi-professional kitchen and a guest toilet. The first floor has its own living room and four double bedrooms, two of them with an extra single bed, all en suite.

The second floor adds another living room and two en-suite doubles. Every bedroom is air-conditioned, and a laundry room with washer and dryer completes the house.

Outside, 6 hectares of fully fenced grounds hold a formal Italian garden, tall cypresses and open views over the countryside. 30 metres deep, lies right beside the house and the outdoor dining area, and is open from May to October. There is private parking and Wi-Fi, and daily housekeeping is part of the stay.

Lucca is 7 km away and Pisa 27 km, while the beach at Viareggio is 30 km. The Apuan Alps park and Carrara are 60 km, Florence and Volterra about 80 km, San Gimignano and the Cinque Terre around 85 km, and Siena 150 km.
