Villa Papavero sits above the coast at Portopalo di Capo Passero, at the southern tip of Sicily, with views from its terraces and pool across to the island of Capo Passero.

Five bedrooms and four bathrooms sleep up to 10 guests, split between the main villa and an adjoining independent apartment, a layout that suits two families or a group of friends.

The house has been restored with fine local materials to a high standard of quality and efficiency, and the interiors are fully furnished in an elegant, contemporary style.

The main villa is on two levels: the ground floor holds a large living and dining room, a kitchen and a toilet, while upstairs are three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The apartment next door has a small living room with kitchenette, two more bedrooms and a bathroom.

Air conditioning, Wi-Fi, satellite TV, a sound system, a washing machine and dishwasher are all provided, and there is step-free access.

Outside, broad terraces are well equipped for lazy days, and the private pool looks straight out to Capo Passero. The grounds have been left natural, with bougainvillea, dwarf palms and prickly pears growing freely, and a footpath winds along the cliff down to the sea. Parking is on site.
