Villa Roncovisi

Villa Roncovisi is a country villa in the Tuscan hills at Monsummano Terme, well placed for Florence, Lucca and Pisa. The grounds are where the villa really stands out.

A broad lawned garden is planted with olive trees and small vineyards, and three gazebos give each part of the day its place: one beside the house with a large table and a barbecue, one in front with sofas for watching the sunset over the hills while sampling local produce before dinner, and one by the pool for breakfast or aperitivo.

Children have a playground with slide and swing, and a corner of their own.

The infinity pool, 12 by 6 metres and 1.40 metres deep, sits on a natural terrace just below the villa and looks across the surrounding hills; it includes a whirlpool. Beneath it, a changing room with shower and toilet saves trips back to the house.

Florence, Lucca and Pisa are all easy to reach by car or by local public transport.
