Villa Terriccia

Villa Terriccia lies in the countryside of the Tenuta Castello del Terriccio near Castellina Marittima, a hill town of Etruscan origin in Tuscany.

The ground floor holds the entrance and a lounge with fireplace, two dining rooms (one seating 6, the other 14), a kitchen big enough to gather in and two bathrooms. Upstairs, five en-suite bedrooms look over the gardens; each has two single beds that can be pushed together.

One has its own terrace and two others open onto a shared panoramic terrace. Two further bedrooms on the same floor are reached by an outside staircase: both have twin beds that convert to a double and a shower room, and one adds a private sitting room. All bedrooms have air conditioning and TV.

A large veranda overlooks the pool, the park and the sea.

The pool is a real feature at 22 x 9 metres and 150 cm deep, with sunbeds, a gazebo and a relaxation area with barbecue for evening meals outside.

All around, vineyards alternate with woods of oak and Turkey oak, eucalyptus and Mediterranean scrub, running down towards the coast between Bibbona and Castiglioncello. On clear days four islands of the Tuscan archipelago are visible, and in the evening the sun sets into the Tyrrhenian Sea.

Rosignano Marittimo, for shops, is 10 km away; Livorno is 35 km, Pisa 44 km, Volterra 50 km and Florence 110 km.
