Villa Trifoglio

Villa Trifoglio is a single-storey villa with private pool in Augusta, on Sicily's east coast about 30 km south of Catania. It has three bedrooms and four bathrooms for up to six guests, and suits families or two couples looking for a quiet seaside base.

The interiors are all on one level: a large living room with a lounge corner, a dining area and kitchen, three comfortable double bedrooms and a smaller room with sofa bed, served by four bathrooms.

Air conditioning and heating run throughout, with Wi-Fi, satellite TV, washing machine, dishwasher, electric oven, microwave, an espresso machine and an American coffee maker. Daily housekeeping is included and a high chair is available.

The villa faces the sea from a quiet residential complex. A well-kept garden and wide, furnished terraces surround the house, with views across the Gulf of Catania to Mount Etna in the distance, and there is a barbecue for evenings outside. Parking is on site.

A 500-metre walk along a small lane shared with the other villas leads to the cliffs and the sea. The closest sandy beach, Agnone Bagni, is about ten minutes by car.

It's an easy base for Catania, the villages of the Etna park and Taormina, while further south lie the baroque towns of Syracuse and Noto, the Vendicari nature reserve and Marzamemi.
