Villa Positano

The villa is 500 square meters. There are 12 bedrooms with the possibility to add another 4 single beds, for 24 people. It is equipped with A/C, Wi-Fi and heating.

Villa Positano is an impressive building built in 1741, located in the oldest district of Positano, not far from the church of St. Giacomo.

In the year 700 on the Roman ruins, there were several villas built to the North of the village with panoramic views of the bay, the Amalfi Coast and Capri that were of great importance.

The villas were well exposed to sunlight, so the rich owners of ships that transported products in the Mediterranean who wanted to show off their claims of paintings, stucco, floor tiles and frescoes to society would expose them at these villas.

Because of the emigration to the Americas and the consequences due to geopolitical changes at the beginning of the 900’s, many of these magnificent homes were abandoned.

However, today thanks to those with greater knowledge and sensitivity, many have preserved their buildings by renovating them due to the high tourism in the area.
