Luxury Tuscan Villa with Exclusive Pool, known locally as Villa Il Ronco, is an eighteenth-century stone house on the far western flank of Monte Albano, about 250 metres above sea level near Monsummano Terme.

Seven bedrooms and seven bathrooms sleep up to 17 guests, so it suits extended families and groups looking for a quiet, central base for exploring Tuscany.

The villa was formed by joining two old farmhouses, which still keep some independence from each other, and has been restored with reclaimed local materials to bio-architecture standards.

The owners have collected antiques for almost fifty years: Persian rugs, old maps and prints, chests from the 1500s and 1600s, Empire wardrobes, Liberty pieces, a carved seventeenth-century panel that came from a convent in Florence and an early twentieth-century billiard table.

Downstairs there are two kitchens, one with a professional two-oven range and a working fireplace, a lounge with a double-sided fireplace opening onto a dining room for 16, a second dining room, a TV room with piano and keyboard, a billiard room and a laundry.

Upstairs, the yellow, green, pink and blue bedrooms all have king-size beds and en-suite bathrooms, the blue room with a mezzanine single; a triple and a single share a bathroom, and a twin sits on a mezzanine above the dining room. Every bathroom has a Jacuzzi shower or bath, and there is also a Turkish bath.

40 metres deep, sits on a natural terrace just below the house with views over the valley, an eight-seat hydromassage area, evening lighting and a changing room below with WC and shower. Around it are sun loungers, umbrellas, a gazebo and a children's corner with swing and slide, plus a barbecue and alfresco dining.

Four mountain bikes, cots, high chairs and a pool alarm are provided. The grounds cover more than 7 hectares of olive groves and woodland; the owners live in a separate villa on the property.

Monsummano Terme is 4 km away, Montecatini Terme 7 km, golf 10 km, Lucca 38 km, and Florence, Pisa airport and the Versilia beaches about 65 km. Parking for five cars, and small dogs are welcome.
