Villa Apollo is a five-bedroom villa at Agios Lazaros on the south coast of Mykonos, designed by the interior architect Alberto Pinto.
It draws on Cycladic building traditions and motifs from Greek mythology, and with six bathrooms and room for up to 10 guests it suits families with older children or several couples sharing a luxury villa on Mykonos by the sea.
The bedrooms are spread across three levels, which keeps everyone's space separate. On the entrance floor an open-plan living and dining room looks straight out to sea, next to a well-equipped kitchen and a master suite with a king-size bed and its own bathroom.
One level up there are two bedrooms with super king beds: one opens directly onto the pool area and both have en-suite bathrooms, while the other has a private balcony.
The lowest level works almost as a separate apartment, with a kitchenette, an en-suite bedroom with a queen-size bed and an extra room with two single beds and its own bathroom. Air conditioning, Wi-Fi, a sound system, a fireplace and a safe are all part of the package.
Outside, the centrepiece is a 135 square metre infinity pool facing the open water, with sun loungers around it. There is a dedicated barbecue area, a dining table under a pergola for long meals outdoors and free parking on site.
The villa's position is its other big draw: a beach lies directly below the property, so a swim in the sea is only a short walk down from the terrace.
