Villa Berenice

Villa Berenice is a secluded Cycladic villa above Kalafatis on Mykonos, around four minutes' drive and less than 2 kilometres from Kalafatis Beach.

It has five bedrooms, five bathrooms and room for up to 10 guests, and because it stands apart from neighbouring properties it is a good choice for families or friends who value privacy in a villa with a private pool on Mykonos.

The architecture is unmistakably island style: whitewashed cubes with flat roofs looking out over the Aegean. Inside, the design is modern and pared back, with beamed ceilings and laminate floors.

Four bedrooms are spread across two levels, and a fifth sits in a separate guest house with its own entrance, ideal for older children, grandparents or a couple wanting a little independence. Several rooms have balcony doors that open straight onto the pool area.

The kitchen is fully equipped, the dining area inside enjoys sea views, and there is air conditioning, Wi-Fi, a sound system, TV and a safe.

Outside, the private pool is surrounded by sun loungers and a series of shaded spaces under wooden pergolas, along with stone-walled corners that suit breakfast, a mid-morning coffee or an evening drink.

An outdoor kitchenette and bar comes with a barbecue for grilling meat or fish, and high stools at the bar for an aperitif. There is free parking on site.

When you want a change from the pool, the sandy shore of Kalafatis Beach is just down the road.
