Villa Larciano is a 17th-century country house on a hilltop in the Montalbano protected area, near Larciano in Tuscany, recently renovated by its owners for modern living.
With eight bedrooms, ten bathrooms and space for up to 16 guests, it is well suited to large families, multi-generation gatherings and groups of friends who want privacy in the Tuscan countryside.
The rooms and suites are split between the main building, which holds seven of them, and a private annex with the eighth. Interiors follow local tradition: terracotta floors, wooden furniture, wrought iron details and warm, earthy colours.
The shared spaces are designed for time together, with a large hall and mezzanine, a fireplace, a piano and a home cinema, a dining room, a wood-fired pizza corner and quiet reading nooks.
For wellbeing there is a gym, a Turkish bath and an outdoor hot tub, as well as a private wine cellar. Outside, landscaped gardens surround an infinity pool with sun loungers, and a pergola shelters an outdoor dining table next to the barbecue.
Air conditioning, central heating, Wi-Fi, smart TV with streaming, a fully equipped kitchen, a high chair and board games make longer stays easy, and pets are allowed.
At about 200 metres above sea level, the villa looks across to the medieval village of Montevettolini and over the wide plain that runs from the Montecatini golf course to the Padule di Fucecchio wetlands, as far as Monte Serra, the ridge separating the valley from the Versilia coast.
It is a fine choice if you want a villa for 16 guests in Tuscany with a proper wellness area and long views.
