Villa Luce was the home of the Marchese Pucci family in the 1800s and stands near Certaldo, in the Chianti area of Tuscany, within reach of Florence. A careful conservative restoration in 2003 brought its period details back to life while adding modern comforts.
With nine bedrooms, ten bathrooms and room for up to 18 guests, it is made for group holidays in Tuscany, family celebrations and weddings or receptions.
The house extends over three floors and 600 square metres, with large, bright rooms. The lounges and bedrooms are furnished with period pieces in keeping with the villa's aristocratic past, balanced by a modern, well-equipped kitchen, a bathroom with hydromassage and a room with satellite TV, DVD player and stereo.
The heart of the home is the grand dining room, where a single table seats all 18 guests. Air conditioning and Wi-Fi are provided.
30 metres deep, heated up to 29 degrees, and built on the edge of a terrace that looks out across a wide stretch of Chianti. Around it, a well-kept garden is set with armchairs, chaise longues and gazebos for sunbathing by day and conversation under the stars at night.
A large private park surrounds the villa, with olive groves and centuries-old trees, a gazebo and a barbecue for meals outside. An old iron gate opens onto a spacious private car park.
For anyone looking for a villa with heated pool near Florence that can host a big gathering in style, Villa Luce has the space and the setting.
