Villa Piuma

Villa Piuma is a historic mansion on a private country estate in the heart of Umbria, about 20 minutes from Perugia. Four bedrooms and four bathrooms, spread between the main house and an annex, sleep up to 8 guests, so it suits families or friends who want a villa with infinity pool in Umbria and plenty of privacy.

The restoration preserved the original materials, whose warm tones come alive in the light that falls through the old arched windows of the large living room. Furnishings are sophisticated and refined, and the generous bathrooms are finished in fine marble.

Air conditioning, central heating, Wi-Fi and smart TV are provided, along with a high chair for small children and daily housekeeping.

Outside, a garden surrounds the house, a hot tub and barbecue add to outdoor living, and a small cottage overlooks the elegant infinity pool, an inviting spot at any hour with the Umbrian countryside as a backdrop.

The villa belongs to Tenuta Umbra, a private estate owned by the same family for generations and known for its thousands of acres of woods and olive groves, its valleys, lakes and rivers.

Central Umbria blends country life with art, history and good food and wine, and the neighbouring regions of Tuscany and Lazio are close by. Todi and Orvieto are nearby, Florence and Rome are within driving distance, and Siena, Arezzo, Assisi and Gubbio all make good excursions.

Perugia hosts opera, the Umbria Jazz festival and Eurochocolate, while Cortona, Preggio with its classical music festival and Montone with its annual film festival are also within reach.
