Villa Ribes

Villa Ribes is a luxury villa in Nerano, overlooking Marina del Cantone on the Amalfi Coast.

With six bedrooms, eight bathrooms and room for 12 guests, it is made for families and friends who want an infinity-pool villa on the Amalfi Coast with its own route down to the sea, something very few villas in the area can offer.

The house covers around 200 square metres and is furnished with understated elegance; the large living room and the six bedrooms show real care for detail, and every room enjoys a view over Marina del Cantone and the Li Galli islands.

Lifts connect the levels, and the villa has air conditioning with an advanced air-circulation system, heating and free Wi-Fi.

Outdoor space runs to about 500 square metres, which means plenty of privacy. 7 metres deep, has hydromassage seats and is open from mid-April to the end of October. Three wide steps in Trani stone lead from the living-room patio to the lawn beside it, where sun loungers and a hot outdoor shower wait.

Around the house a ground-floor terrace of about 140 square metres has a furnished lounge and a dining area with a three-metre table beneath an old olive tree, softened by drapes.

Terraced gardens full of flowers descend by stone steps, with seating, loungers, outdoor showers and a covered gazebo along the way, to a pebble beach where the services of the neighbouring lido are available. A private cable car offers an easier ride down.

Marina del Cantone was once a fishing village and is now a small resort of villas, hotels and some of the peninsula's most celebrated Michelin-starred restaurants, loved for its clear water and sea caves.

No car is needed, but there is free parking for two cars inside the gate, from where a private lift or about 30 steps lead up to the house.
