Il Passero is a family-run country estate near Montaione, on the Via Francigena, where the land produces organic honey, wine and extra virgin olive oil.
The villa has 13 bedrooms and 15 bathrooms for up to 25 guests, a rare size that makes it a strong candidate for a villa for large groups in Tuscany, as well as for weddings, reunions and other special occasions.
The sleeping arrangements are flexible: seven double rooms, two of them master suites; five twin rooms, nearly all convertible into doubles; and a single room with a French bed. There are two entrances.
The main one opens onto a living room with TV and the house library, then the main lounges, the dining hall and a billiard room, with a double bedroom and private bathroom on the same floor.
The side entrance gives onto the kitchen and pantry, a second dining area, a laundry, a service bathroom, another double and a single with adjoining staff quarters. A hunting lounge can hold the whole group together or be divided into quieter corners.
A broad pietra serena staircase climbs to the upper floor, where a long corridor serves eight bedrooms with garden views.
The master suite has a king-size canopy bed, a sitting area with a terrace and a travertine bathroom; another canopy-bed suite has a bathroom in mosaic and local marble, and the grandparents' room has a canopy bed facing the countryside.
Two further air-conditioned bedrooms are in the left wing, and an upstairs living room enjoys wide views. A nanny's room with bathroom sits near the kitchen.
Outside there is a garden, terraces and a private pool. A chef can prepare Tuscan meals with seasonal produce on request, and a wine tasting and tour at the nearby Fattoria Dianella is included.
