Outside, generous terraces and a well-tended garden surround the villa. The private pool measures 6 by 20 metres and faces a rugged outcrop of lava rock with the open sea beyond. Sun loungers, an outdoor dining area and a barbecue make it simple to spend whole days at home.

When you want to explore, the Mount Etna park, Acireale itself, Catania, Taormina and Syracuse are all within reach by car. One outing worth planning is a boat trip to the island of Lachea and the rock stacks off Aci Trezza and Aci Castello, seen best from the water.
