Villa la Panoramica is an elegant 19th-century villa in the Liberty style at Fabbrica di Peccioli, in the hills of the Pisa countryside between olive groves and vineyards.
Covering 350 square metres over two floors, it has five bedrooms and three bathrooms for up to 13 guests, and suits families and groups looking for a period villa with a pool in Tuscany.
Restored some years ago with its original architecture intact, the house is furnished with antique furniture, paintings and ornaments, and keeps its vaulted and frescoed ceilings.
The ground floor has a very well-equipped kitchen with a small pantry, a living room with a lava-stone fireplace, sofas and satellite TV, a large frescoed salon, a dining room with a crystal table and original bookcases, and a twin bedroom with shower room.
A stone staircase leads upstairs to two double bedrooms, one with a canopy bed, and two twin rooms; extra single beds can be added in three of the rooms. There are two bathrooms on this floor, one with a bath.
Next to the kitchen, two arched doorways open into a stone-paved garden that was once the cloister. A large loggia holds a dining table and sofas under a pergola of century-old wisteria, with views over the vineyards and olive groves as far as Volterra. 3 metres deep, has a hydromassage area, sofas and umbrellas.
The shops of Fabbrica are within walking distance. Pontedera is 23 km away, Volterra 25 km, San Gimignano 30 km, Pisa airport and the beaches at Livorno 50 km, and Florence and Lucca 65 km.
