Villa Orchidea

Villa Orchidea lies between the slopes of Mount Etna and the Ionian Sea at Mascali, in eastern Sicily, a short drive from the well-known beaches of Riposto and Fondachello.

Six bedrooms and eight bathrooms sleep up to 12 guests, so this villa for 12 guests in Sicily suits families and groups of friends after a relaxed holiday with both the sea and the mountain close by.

Inside, quality materials and design pieces give each room its own character. The ground floor is an open living area with lounge, dining space and kitchen, plus two double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, a guest bathroom and a laundry room.

The whole house is air-conditioned, with underfloor heating and a fireplace for cooler months, Wi-Fi, six smart TVs, a washer-dryer, dishwasher, two fridges and a coffee machine.

Wide, well-furnished terraces wrap around the house and look across the countryside to the sea beyond. The saltwater pool is the focus of outdoor life, and a barbecue is on hand for dinners in the open air. Parking is on site.

Within a few kilometres are some of the best-known places on the Ionian coast: the Isole Ciclopi marine area, Taormina, Catania and Syracuse. Inland, the villages and landscapes of the Mount Etna Park are just as rewarding to explore.
